It was my first time in France. I couldn't believe that there was such large land of music opportunity and I had never even conceived of the idea. I learnt so much, met so many great connections and am bigger now then before I flew into Nice. The performance at Cotton Club was also well received. Cannes has shown me a lot of possibility.

It was great being on stage with the phenomenal Sherwyn Moodley (Guitar) Johan Van Lingen (Bass) Ifa Raz (Keys) & Mr Paul Pretorius (Drums). Lets be honest without these guys, I'm not certain that the show would have turned out this wow. Primavera really opened my mind to the possibilities of music and how the world of music is changing. It gave me the idea of accessibility & promoted the power of information even more. I met some really interesting people on the social, got great insight from mentors in music, met some good friends and returned to South Africa with a changed mindset. I obviously swam everyday, had a great party day and night, ate amazing food and got to see some really inspiring architecture. I love Barca!
When you think you know.......you dont know. I felt honoured sitting in conference sessions with mentors and music moguls at your finger tips, I was grateful for every piece of information. Its a mind blowing experience. I went to Austin so hungry to be great, to be wise and to be the best musician I can be, I learnt so much about what not to do, how to be better and how to link music to so many things. Texas has my heart!
2015 was certainly a year of music travel. CMJ was so good for collection of information. Connecting with College music peeps and checking out the awesome that New York city had to offer. I made some good music relationships and friendships, ate great food, sang at so many Jazz bars and clubs and just had a complete blast. The showcasing was great too. I will no doubt return to New York, I'm sure I'll be singing more in and around there:)

Such a smart women Oh my word!
Winning this trip meant that I was going to test my music readiness and gain way more momentum on my music journey. This year "Virtual Reality" was a very big theme in tech and music. I learned so much about music for gaming and film, I met a lot of cool people and got to listen to a talk by Garth Brooks. I also listened to book writing talks and collaboration on music talks. This is where the whole idea of "Music and" just came together for me. I wanted to write a book and be a SXSW speaker.
